Lause Family Sign

My friend wanted to have a sign created to surprise his wife on their 20th wedding anniversary. He gave me gave me their wedding anniversary date and the dimensions of the space that he wanted it to fill above his main entrance of their home. I had his trust to come up with something special with out him knowing a single detail of what I was going to come up with. After brainstorming several different ideas, I texted my friend and asked him for the names and the birth dates of everyone in his family. My idea was surprise both my friend and his wife with a sign that celebrated their anniversary and it was also a sign that celebrated the entire family that they created.

The large boards are cedar wood and stained with maple, cherry and walnut finishes. The names are all cut out of maple wood and the birth dates and anniversary date was engraved into the wood.
